Tiered Planter Project

In this class you will create a tiered planter box.  This task is a core carpentry skill that every homeowner can master. With this skill, you can build custom storage solutions inside and outside of your home. You will practice basic wood “joinery” with fasteners. Participants will leave with 1 tiered planter box that is approximately 24” wide by 24” high and 5” deep.

Tools Provided: circular saw, miter saw, hammer, clamps, variable speed drill, drill bit, and a speed square.

Materials Provided: wood boards, glue, nails, and screws.

Project objectives:

1. Establish skill and develop confidence with tools and materials.

2. Improve problem solving with your hands by adding new tools and skills.

3. Develop confidence through step by step instruction and making small improvements in your techniques as you build.

4. Identify when you can push yourself and when you should pause for safety.

*Note the price is for a single project, BUT 2 people can work on 1 project together. Please sign up one person ONLY for your project.
